About Hunter Jones
Chasing Dreams is the semi-autobiographical tale of professional surfer Hunter Jones’ love for the ocean and his belief in the power of dreaming big. A surfer, filmmaker, and lifelong dreamer from Los Angeles, Hunter has built his life around the water—chasing waves, chasing stories, and chasing big ideas.
With Chasing Dreams, Hunter hopes to share that same spark with the next generation. “My hope is that this book sparks the imagination of kids all over the world—and hopefully brings them to love the ocean. Whether it’s surfing or something else, I want them to keep chasing what they love.”
Hunter first discovered surfing at just ten years old. “I still vividly remember that feeling—I’ve been chasing it ever since,” he says. That first wave opened up a new reality for him, one filled with creativity, adventure, and friendships that continue to shape his life today.
“Surfing is the greatest gift I’ve ever been given, and it has given me more than I could have ever imagined,” Hunter reflects. His most treasured memories are rooted in the ocean with his friends and family, and he credits surfing with teaching him lessons that extend far beyond the waves.
About Jon Pickle
Jon Pickle is a father of two boys, movie trailer editor, and former professional surfer from Los Angeles. Growing up near the beach gave him a love and appreciation for the ocean that he hopes to share with his boys like he did with his dad.
It is his hope that this book will encourage the next generation of surfers to never give up on their dreams both in and out of the water.
